After the decision to merge the two trading multinationals, the effective date of this strategic incorporation in the Philippines took place on April 2004. The Nissho Iwai Corporation – Philippine Branch was named Sojitz Corporation Philippine Branch . The Nichimen Philippines Corporation was named Sojitz Philippines Corporation. It was the latter Sojitz Philippines Corporation, that was
the corporate entity selected to conduct all the continuing business in the Philippines.
With both companies having almost 50 years of operations in the Philippines, Sojitz Philippines Corporation is vigorously expanding our global business and adding new capabilities to the traditional role as a trading company.
